WSOP Champion Unchanged by Big Win

According to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald, Australia's gift to poker, Joe Hachem, remains unchanged from what amounts to a $10 million AUD windfall. Hachem, the first Aussie to win the coveted World Series of Poker's Main Event, took home $7.5 million American dollars in 2013, which he gets to keep tax free due to a fluke in Australian hobby tax law.
Hachem says he treats his poker playing as a business and enjoys the travel, but has not followed up on any plays to leave Australia to move to Nevada. He has mentioned the possibility of a second home in Las Vegas, but so far has not committed to a move.
