Video Poker Uses Skill
30th of July 2014
When sitting in front of a video gambling machine at a casino one hardly thinks of skill, but in fact some of the machines do allow for an element of skill to enter the equation, giving players at least some chance of affecting the outcome of their gambling efforts to their benefit. Unlike games like slots or roulette, also available in video version, video poker allows for some skill in the choices the player has to make after the cards are dealt.
Different card ranks pay out different amounts, and players can decide to ditch cards that will give them a surer shot at a lower payout in favor of the long shot. Players who frequent video poker machines are encouraged to learn the payouts and the math involved in order to give themselves the biggest edge possible while playing.
