Australian children become involved in compulsive gambling while playing Tamagotchi.
A new version of the Tamagotchi toy has been recently revealed in Australia, but it now causes debates. South Australian No Pokies MP Nick Xenophon says that the toy should be banned because it makes children gambling addicted.
The new version of the old game is almost similar to the older ones. A child should take care of a pet in a proper way, otherwise the virtual animal will die. However, there is one little feature. On the fourth day of the pet’s life, children are offered to play slots. They can place a bet and spin the wheel.
"This virtual pet encourages children as young as four to participate in poker machine-style gambling," Mr Xenophon said today.
The debates are still in process and nobody knows what will happen with the new version of the popular game.
