The United States should take a pattern of fighting against gambling from abroad. Then there will be no arrests of two dealers and five players, who played for $50. Myanmar colleagues act more aggressively and harshly. At the boundary with China, with local government help, casino businesses were deprived of telecommunication, transportation and power supply, but that is not all. Moreover, travel passes for Chinese tourists to gambling areas were suspended.
Myanmar and China joined their efforts in their warfare against gambling. In whole, about 80 casinos were shut down – not only because of the problems with electricity, but also because of downswing of Chinese customers’ quantity. In the rest of casinos, no Chinese guests are permitted. Thus, Chinese gamblers have to go somewhere else to gamble now.
